I Photographed Gary Deinstadt!

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

gary-deinstandt0032-webI photographed Gary Deinstadt (above) last week in Bedford, NY. Gary, the two time Emmy Award winner for outstanding achievement  in music direction and composition in a drama series in 2007 and 2008….. also was the recipient of two BMI film and television music awards. Gary  was easy breezy to photograph and not only a super talent but a great guy, too!

collage-with-logo-low-resMany of you probably heard of the popular NPR radio show “Car Talk”, starring Tom and Ray Magliozzi, aka The Tappet Brothers. It seems like half the world heard of them, except me….ha!

On this past Saturday June 7th, it was my pleasure to photograph the wedding and reception of Tom’s son Alexander. He married the beautiful Megan Alison O’Brien. The reception was held at the Natural History Museum in New York City, and was incredible.

kj_city_wedding_pose_web1Karie (my second shooter/right-hand gal) shot this of me on Saturday. When shooting a wedding there is really no time to think or stop and take a break, let alone think of the next shot. We are on the move constantly….the high adrenaline, I love. It’s like we have to show up be on top of our game and make every shot count. I work really well when the pressure is on for some reason..koo-koo, right?

flowers_marco1Ok……so I went berzerk on the flowers, boutonnie’res, bouquets, and table tops at this wedding. Designed by: Marco Olmi…email him at: marco@stonekelly.com

I was blown away….each bridesmaid had a different bouquet…. ranging from yellow cali lilies to fuchsia  and soft pink peonies, etc….frothy is another word that comes to mind to describe the amazingly creative works of art. Too many great shots to post …..this wedding will get published for sure. It was just a perfect day done in exquisite taste. For more info on Marco and his work:

Olga Adler Interiors

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

blog0002-webThis Olga Adler, the most beautiful interior designer I’ve ever seen. She is lovely, warm and her sense of style is visible the second you meet her and she says, “hello”….

Not sure if it’s just her sexy accent, her style of clothing and/or her very decisive sense of knowing exactly what she wants.

I love that quality in a person, straight to the point …. with loads of charm. I quickly picked her brain on what color I should paint my dinning room and where and what sisal carpet I should get for my living room. She thinks a bit of “animal” should be in every room…..I chimmed in.. “what about personalities?…ya know….the animal part?”   Awww…come on…it was worth a giggle, right? grrrr
