When I photographed Harvey Fierstein is was non stop giggles. I just entered this image above in a really cool photo contest.
Alright I know what you’re thinking…..“Happy”…?? Well, Hal (my one and only go-to-guy for just about you name it) popped by my home studio for a session this afternoon. By the way, if you want the best Life Coach on the planet call this dude @ (203) 743-7722 I think today was the most fun I have ever with Hal to date because we got hooked on this whole yellow craze I’m in. Hysterical….even Phillip my handyman extraordinaire joined in for a few chuckles. I bought this yellow coat and I’ve been on a roll ever since. The break through for our session today was expanding my Lifestyle consulting business, which you will see unfold this spring!
Happy to say that my photo above “Got Milk” is a nominee at the 5th Annual Black & White Spider Awards. Thousands of images were received and my work received a high percentage of votes overall. The Jury passionately reviewed the entries before making their final nominations and after eight weeks of voting honored 84 title awards in 28 categories.
The 5th Annual Photo Show was attended by 35,000 online viewers who logged on live from 154 countries to see the winners and nominees. This is the biggest audience to date for the Spider Awards and its participating photographers. I’m proud to be among such amazing talent!

Karie snapped this of Noah (my best in the whole wide world “elf ” helper) and myself yesterday. I was on my way to drop off my KJP holiday tree for the annual holiday tree festival in Ridgefield, CT. Karie was cracking up watching my multi-task, as I was…a sight to be seen for some giggles, for sure. I posted a white seamless back drop behind the tree. The graffiti said: “It’s not about the town it’s about the people!” Heck yeah!….Pop by for the cocktail party tomorrow night at the Ridgefield Community Center or take a peak anytime this weekend. The place is filled with tree’s, ornaments, you name it.
If nothing else you will be ramped up for the holiday after seeing all of it!

I had the privledge to photograph Bernadette last Friday afternoon. Her sister in-law contacted me via the web. The two women drove all the way from outside Philadelphia (4 hour drive)
to have me capture Bernadette and to share her journey. I was moved to tears after they left my studio and was not able to work for the rest of day. The shoot was intense. Bernadette is so incredibly brave. These are her words:
“Most people think of cancer only on the inside. I see cancer on the outside everyday. Even though I smile, I see and feel pain constantly. Whether inside or outside this is what cancer looks like”
I plan on having another black and white portrait show late this fall on Breast Cancer Awareness and I will hang her images proudly.
“I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people.”
-Vincent van Gogh
Alain Picard and I agree with Van Gogh. It’s the human spirit that makes me tick and keeps me curious and snapping. Alain (aka) AJ is truly one of the best and most creative artists I have known. When he asked my permission to paint me…..well….I was so incredibly flattered and blown away, I could hardly wait. This painting is titled:” Selah”, she is going for around 7k but…..I’m hoping for a print, right… AJ? and maybe someday I’ll be lucky enough to own her…my son would love it one day and heck, one can dream, right?
